Headquartered in Kapuskasing and with a second location in Huntsville, Northland Well Drilling provides top-quality water well construction and drilling services to residential, commercial, industrial and mining clients across Northern Ontario and the Muskokas.

Whether it’s drilling a new well, deepening an existing well, replacing a submersible pump or decommissioning a well no longer in use, Northland has the expertise necessary to get the job done.

Daniel Tailleur

Owner

Hailing from Kapuskasing, Daniel is certified in plumbing and heating and wells construction. While he is constantly busy with his multiple companies, he loves bow hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Nicolas Tailleur

Owner / General Manager

Nicolas oversees all operations for Northland—specifically all the drill and service crews, equipment, parts, and more. A Kapuskasing native born and raised in the area, he is certified in wells construction from Fleming College. Nic’s favourite part of working for the company is providing an essential service to clients and watching the team consistently strive for success—not to mention getting to work alongside his dad Daniel and fiancée Breanna!

Mel Beadow

Manager

Born and raised in Kapuskasing, Mel takes pride in caring for clients—overseeing quotes, bookings, and scheduling drill and service crews. She also oversees all financials for Kapuskasing as well as Huntsville. In addition to Kapuskasing, Mel ensures the Huntsville office has the support and tools they need to succeed. In particular, she loves being part of a “family-like business,” providing an essential service to people, and hearing positive feedback about the entire Northland crew.

Previously, Mel worked at the Credit Union in Ottawa as a customer service representative. She also has a degree in psychology.

Breanna Guillemette

Administrative Assistant, Main Branch

Not only is Kapuskasing native Breanna one of our employees—she’s also the soon-to-be spouse of owner Nicolas! With a diploma in Office Administration, Breanna stays busy every day by greeting clients and overseeing accounts payable, vehicle fleet insurance, training, and all other office organizational needs. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, camping, and enjoying down-time at the lake.

Sebastian Tessier

Lead Driller

As lead driller, Sebastian oversees the construction of water wells, boreholes, dewatering holes, monitoring wells and decommissions. A Licensed Well Technician through the Ministry of Environment, Sebastian previously received his Certificate in Wells Construction from Fleming College. Sebastian enjoys the responsibility of providing water to clients while also working closely with his coworkers. In his personal life, he loves to play and watch hockey, and spending time with family.

Stefane Vachon

Assistant Well Technician

In his job as a labourer, Stefane provides Northland’s drillers with much-needed assistance to construct all kinds of water wells. Hailing from Kapuskasing, he feels at home among the “great environment and coworkers.” Stefane’s pastimes include anything related to sports, spending time with family, listening to music and going camping.

Hunter Rukavina

Well Technician

Hunter, who was born in Kapuskasing, is currently in the process of obtaining his hours for his License Well Technician License through the Ministry of the Environment. His duties include drilling water wells, working on a Schramm TS 450 drilling rig, conducting dual rotary down-the-hole hammer drilling. In addition to providing an essential service to clients, Hunter’s favourite thing about working for Northland is the camaraderie with his coworkers (“the people here are like an extension of my family!” he says). In his spare time, Hunter loves being outdoors and singing karaoke.

Brandon Snow

Manager, Northland Well Drilling Huntsville

Brandon’s job involves ensuring all facets of the Huntsville business run efficiently and effectively, resulting in client satisfaction and high employee engagement. Brandon oversees scheduling of drill crews, writing contracts, coordinating with clients and staff, and providing clear communication via emails and phone calls. His favourite aspect of the job is learning and talking about the field of water well drilling—explaining the process to clients, as well as to people who are not in the industry, yet curious about it. Prior to joining the Northland team, Brandon spent almost 20 years in hardware stores—including Home Hardware, where he was a store manager; and Rona, where he began as a yard staff member and eventually was promoted to store manager. Originally from Toronto and raised in Huntsville, Brandon is a licensed mortgage agent certified through the Real Estate & Mortgage Institute of Canada. Outside of work, he is a local league hockey coach as well as a big movie buff.

Debbie Yarker

Administration

At Northland, Debbie is responsible for accounts receivable, setting up service calls, banking, overseeing well records, and more. Debbie was born in Toronto and raised in Barrie. She is trained in management courses, and also has certification in WSIB, CPR, and First Aid. Debbie enjoys engaging with Northland customers and collaborating with the company’s friendly associates and managers. To pass the time outside work, Debbie plays bingo, reads, sees friends and family members, and loves spending time with her granddaughter.

Avril Sanguinetti

Sales

Avril originally hails all the way from “across the pond”—specifically Dorchester, England—and later moved to Ontario to live in Orillia and Muskoka. A trained furniture technician, she works for the Northland sales department by making site visits and creating quotes—and fully enjoys meeting and engaging with new customers. Among her favourite things about working for Northland, Avril appreciates that the company encourages work-life balance. Avril enjoys gardening, spending quality time with her children, and attending their sporting events. She also has an interest in building design.

George Schell

Supervisor/Lead Pump Installer

George enjoys repairing, servicing and installing wells for Northland clients using equipment including excavators, hand tools, and the pump truck. He is also responsible for supervising drill crews and ensuring they have everything they need to complete a successful job. Originally from Guelph, George is a graduate of a well technician course, and holds certifications in CPR, AED, AODA, OCWA, and WVH. In his personal time, George likes to travel, go to the gym, ride his motorcycle, and get out on his boat.

Bill Dell

Assistant Pump Installer

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Bill provides expertise in service work and pump installation, primarily using hand tools. In his role at Northland team, he continuously proves his ongoing commitment to doing the best job possible. When he isn’t being a well technician, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and his dog.

Rob Creasor

Driller Apprentice

Born in Orillia and raised in Muskoka, Rob is a college-trained apprentice with Northland who works primarily on a drilling rig, service truck, loader and chain saw. Rob loves to travel across Ontario as part of the company, as well as working on a variety of different jobs every few days. In his spare time, Rob enjoys family time, hunting, fishing and trapping.

Tristan Duquette

Well Driller Assistant

Trained in heavy equipment and truck driving, Tristan’s job involves assisting the driller as well as cleaning and fixing rigs and vehicles; and using a wide range of equipment including water pumps, cranes, power washers, and more. Born and raised in Chatham, Tristan loves being outdoors and enjoying the scenery of different places—which is something he does both on and off the job. In his personal life, he enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his ATV, working on projects, and being with friends and family.

Mackenzie Kouyoumjian

Driller

Mackenzie grew up in Oro-Medonte, a township in south-central Ontario. Educated at Fleming College in the field of drilling, he also has a host of other training certificates including CPR, AODA, OCWA, TDG, WVH, and WHMIS. As a member of the Northland family, he proudly operates and maintains a Schram drill rig to produce clean water for “wonderful clients.” Mackenzie enjoys the opportunity to regularly work across Muskoka and seeing all that the area has to offer. When not working, he can be found camping, fishing and boating.

Gord Hill

Licensed Well Technician 

Originally from Newmarket, Gord assists in drilling wells, operates the water/service truck, and works with equipment including helper drill rigs and hand tools. Gord is well-trained with multiple certifications including his CPR, AED, AODA, OCWA, and WVH. His favourite thing about being part of Northland is the opportunity to work in Muskoka alongside a “great team of co-workers.” Outside of work, Gord likes to canoe and kayak, and act as a trainer for his son’s hockey team.

Mike Maclnnis

Machine Operator and Service Assistant

Born in Southern Ontario, Mike moved up north as a teen and never left. With 20 years of experience in the water well drilling industry as a driller and pump installer, he brings a wide breadth of skills and knowledge to the Northland team. Since joining the company, Mike has taken on a wide range of duties including excavator operation, pump installation assistance, as well as drill assistant. He has his Level 1 and Level 4 well drilling license, AZ license, and certifications in dangerous goods, health and safety awareness, WHMIS, chainsaw safety, and CPR.
